Child exploitation can be reported through the ‘Kunjapp’ application. The Chief Minister also inaugurated the training for the newly appointed Child Welfare Committee (CWC) and Juvenile Justice Board (JJB) members.

Notes:
Financial Action Task Force (FATF) has put Myanmar on the ‘black list’ and has the country to apply enhanced due diligence to business relations and transactions.
The FATF blacklist, designated as ‘High-Risk Jurisdictions’ subject to a Call for Action, identifies the countries with weak anti-money laundering and counter-terrorist funding regulatory frameworks.

The United States is set to retrieve its older HAWK air defence equipment to send to Ukraine which is facing a heavy attack from Russian drone-fired and cruise missiles.
HAWK, short for ‘Homing All the Way Killer,’ entered service with the US Army in 1959, during the Vietnam war. The HAWK interceptor missiles would be an upgrade to the Stinger missile system. The US sent the shoulder-fired anti-aircraft Stingers to Ukraine early in the war.

Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik launches SAFAL (Simplified Application for Agricultural Loans) common credit portal for farmers.
The SAFAL application for agricultural loans will enable farmers and agri-entrepreneurs to access over 300 term loan products from over 40 partner banks. It is the country’s first online agricultural credit facilitation portal.

NASA’s Dragonfly rotorcraft is scheduled to reach the Selk Crater region on Saturn’s moon Titan in the year 2034.
Cassini spacecraft has sent some radar images of the area during its 13 years of exploring the Saturn system. Dragonfly is also the first flying machine for a world in the outer solar system.

As per the report of the Aviation analytics company Official Airline Guide (OAG), Indira Gandhi International Airport, Delhi is the 10th busiest airport in the world in terms of seat capacity and frequency of domestic and international flights as of October 2022.
Delhi airport improved from its 14th position in October 2019. The busiest airport in the world as of October 2022 is Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport which serviced 47,47,367 seats. Dubai International is second, followed by Tokyo International Airport.

Public sector lender Indian Bank has rolled out six new digital initiatives under ‘Project WAVE’ for enhancing customer experience on its digital platform.
Indian Bank, along with Universal Sompo General Insurance will provide online vehicle and health insurance through mobile banking app IndOASIS.

Indian and the US Defence Forces will conduct the battalion-level ‘Yudh Abhyas’ exercise between = at Auli in Uttarakhand, 100 km from the Line of Actual Control (LAC).
Before this, the member countries of the ‘QUAD’ association will conduct the Malabar exercise off Yokosuka in Japan. The ‘Quad’ includes the US, Japan, Australia and India. Around 350 soldiers from each country will take part in the military exercise.

The World Bank has recently released the ‘Commodity Markets Outlook report for October 2022’. As per the report, Global energy prices will ease in the next couple of years but remain higher than the historic average.
The report also noted that Energy prices are expected to fall by 11 per cent in 2023 and 12 per cent in 2024.

The first edition of the India-Mozambique-Tanzania Trilateral Exercise has recently commenced at Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania.
Indian Navy is represented by the guided missile frigate, INS Tarkash, a Chetak helicopter and MARCOS (Special Forces). The exercise has three objectives: capability development to address common threats through training and sharing of best practices, enhancing interoperability, and strengthening maritime cooperation.
