Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare launched the mental health service called Tele Mental Health Assistance and Networking Across States (Tele-MANAS) initiative.
Tele MANAS will be the digital arm of the National Mental Health Programme. The nodal centre for  the program will be National Institute of Mental Health and Neuroscience (NIMHANS) with technological support from IIT-Bombay.

Indian capital market regulator SEBI issued  guidelines  regarding execution of ‘Demat Debit and Pledge Instruction’ (DDPI)  for  transfer  of  securities  towards  deliveries or settlement  obligations  and pledging and re-pledging of securities.
SEBi has decided to widen the scope of DDPI to include Mutual Fund transactions being  executed on Stock Exchange and tendering shares in open offers through Stock Exchange platforms.

The first European female commander on the International Space Station is the Italian astronaut Samantha Cristoforetti.
She answered young girls’ questions accompanied by a lookalike Barbie doll, as a part of a project aimed at inspiring young girls to start careers in STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics).

The US and India have launched a new task force under the Strategic Clean Energy Partnership (SCEP)
The task force will focus on the accelerated deployment of energy storage technologies. The Energy Storage Task Force to facilitate ongoing dialogue among government officials, industry representatives. US Trade and Development Agency (USTDA) is funding a study to evaluate viability of a hybrid solar and wind power plant with integrated battery energy storage in Gujarat.

Veteran Uttar Pradesh politician Mulayam Singh Yadav, the founder of the Samajwadi Party, passed away at the age of 82.
He served as the chief minister of Uttar Pradesh thrice – from 1989 to 1991, from 1993 to 1995, and from 2003 to 2007. He ha d also served as the Union defence minister under the United Front government from 1996 to 1998.

S Shrikrishna of India became the new World 6-red snooker champion when he defeated Habib Sabah of Bahrain in the final.
The 22-year-old Shrikrishna is the reigning National 6-Reds Snooker Champion and he has won the National Billiards Championship in 2019.

The Cabinet has approved 22,000 crore rupees as one time grant to Public Sector Undertakings, Oil Marketing Companies for losses in Domestic LPG.
Since the prices of LPG have risen globally up to 300 per cent, this grant will held the companied to ensure unhindered domestic LPG supplies. The compensation will be given to the three companies – Indian Oil Corporation, Bharat Petroleum Corporation and Hindustan Petroleum Corporation.

National Securities Depository Limited (NSDL) said it has acquired a 5.6 per cent stake in the Union Government’s Open Network for Digital Commerce for Rs 10 crore.
Leading depository NSDL invested an amount of Rs 10 crore under the private placement route. ONDC is an initiative of the Commerce Ministry to create an open public digital infrastructure.

The government formed a panel of experts to examine reports received from the WHO on the deaths of 66 children in The Gambia linked potentially to the four made-in-India cough syrups.
The four-member committee of technical experts is chaired by Dr Y K Gupta, Vice Chairperson of Standing National Committee on Medicines. The committee will recommend further course of action to the Drugs Controller General of India (DCGI).

The 193-member UN General Assembly voted to elect 14 countries to the 47-member Human Rights Council.
Countries including Algeria, Bangladesh, Belgium, Chile, Germany, Maldives, Morocco, South Africa, Sudan, and Vietnam among others were elected to serve for a period of three years at the Geneva based-council, from January 2023. Candidates with poor human rights records: Venezuela and Afghanistan were not elected.
