Electromagnetic Field radiation (EMF) radiation refers to the RF/Electromagnetic energy that is released from the antennas of mobile towers and mobile handsets. It is classified as non-ionizing and possesses extremely minimal energy levels.
Recently, the Department of Telecommunications (DoT), Delhi LSA, conducted a webinar as part of the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav celebration. The purpose of the webinar was to raise awareness about Electromagnetic Field (EMF) and its significance.

The Ministry of Defence (MoD) has inked a Rs.500 crore contract with ICOMM Tele, for the procurement of 1,035 numbers of 5/7.5 Ton Radio Relay Communication equipment containers. The delivery of the containers is scheduled to commence from the current Financial Year 2023-24.
These containers will be utilized to provide a protected environment for communication equipment to function in a failsafe and reliable manner.

The Einsatzgruppen were mobile units formed by the Nazi regime during World War II. Their primary purpose was to systematically eliminate Jewish communities, among other targeted groups, through mass murder.
Germany recently announced compensation for holocaust survivors who fled the Einsatzgruppen.

India’s Defence and security authorities have recently made the decision to implement uniform annual confidential reports for senior officers across all branches of the armed forces.
This decision aligns closely with the government’s strategy for the theaterisation process, which seeks to foster greater collaboration and coordination among the three branches of the military.

Gandhi Peace Prize is an annual award instituted by Government of India in 1995, on 125th Birth Anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi as a tribute to the ideals advocated by Mahatma Gandhi. It is open to all persons regardless of nationality, race, language, caste, creed or gender.

Kamala Sohonie’s 112th birth anniversary was observed recently. She was the first Indian woman to get a PhD degree in a scientific discipline.
She won the Rashtrapati Award for her work on Neera, a palm extract that could fight malnutrition among children from tribal communities in India.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi spoke about Miyawaki plantation, the Japanese method of creating dense urban forests in a small area, during his latest ‘Mann ki baat’ episode.
The Prime Minister also cited the example of a Kerala-based teacher, Raafi Ramnath, who used the Miyawaki technique to transform a barren land into a mini forest called Vidyavanam by planting 115 varieties of trees.

Japan recently approved a bill with the objective of fostering awareness and acceptance of the LGBT community. However, concerns have been raised regarding the absence of human rights safeguards in the legislation and the possibility of reinforcing specific forms of discrimination.

‘Operation Kawach’ has been launched to crack down the menace of drugs in the national capital. Under this operation, the Delhi Police apprehended a total of 776 individuals involved in drug offenses.
These arrests were made in connection with 615 cases related to the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act (NDPS). The police have successfully seized approximately 36 kilograms of heroin so far.
