The ‘International Trade Show’ will be organized from September 21 to 25 in Greater Noida. In this event, the Uttar Pradesh government will focus on 40 sectors.
During the three-day Global Investors Summit held in Lucknow earlier this year, the state received investment proposals worth Rs 35 lakh crore, of this the three Noida authorities alone accorded 27%.

The 12th edition of joint military exercise “Ex Ekuverin” between the Indian Army & the Maldives National Defence Force has commenced at Chaubatia, Uttarakhand.
Ekuverin meaning ‘Friends’ is a bilateral annual exercise conducted alternatively in India and Maldives.

Dhubri port is a key river port in Assam. The Union Minister of Ports, Shipping & Waterways and Sarbananda Sonowal has announced infrastructure upgrade at this port recently.
Plans were announced to develop a modern Integrated Office Complex at Dhubri Port, along with the construction of a new warehouse and road, aimed at benefiting stakeholders from Bhutan and Bangladesh.

Notes:
Four Indigenous children of the Huitoto Indigenous group, who were missing for over a month in the Colombian Amazon rainforest after surviving a plane crash, have been reunited with their relatives.
The children were discovered after a massive search and rescue operation involving 160 soldiers and 70 Indigenous people who had knowledge of the jungle.

Indian President Droupadi Murmu and her Serbian counterpart Aleksandar Vucic have agreed to set a bilateral trade target of one billion euros by the end of this decade, from the present 320 million euros.
This agreement was made by both the countries, during Indian President’s three-day State visit to Serbia from the 7th to the 9th of June 2023.

India captain Rohit Sharma has become the third Indian opener to cross 13,000 runs across formats, after Virender Sehwag (15,758) and Sachin Tendulkar (15,335) to achieve this feat.
He is the third-quickest to the mark among all openers, only behind Matthew Hayden (293 innings) and Sachin Tendulkar (295), as he crossed the mark in his 307th innings.

Iraq’s parliament has approved a budget of 198.9 trillion dinars (USD 153bn) for 2023 for a record spending on a growing public wage bill and development projects.
It aims to improve services and rebuild infrastructure ruined by neglect and war. The approved budget is the largest in the country’s history, covering three years – 2023, 2024 and 2025.

The Union Minister of Education and Skill Development Dharmendra Pradhan has flagged off Gabon’s first Agri- SEZ project, at New Delhi. The project will be implemented by AOM group with Centurion University as the technical and knowledge partner
Under this project, 30 farmers and 20 B.Sc./M.Sc. Agri / B.Tech/M.Tech Engineering students from Gajapati district will be travelling together as agri-technical and technical consultants for the agriculture SEZ.

A report titled “Detox Development: Repurposing Environmentally Harmful Subsidies” was released recently by the World Bank.
According to this report, large amounts of money are wasted on subsidies for agriculture, fishing, and fossil fuels, which could be utilized to tackle climate change and benefit humanity and the environment, rather than causing harm.

Notes:
The UN General Assembly has adopted a resolution, piloted by India, to establish a new memorial wall for fallen Peacekeepers. The resolution received a record 190 co-sponsorships.
As per a data revealed by the UNGA, out of the 3,500 peacekeepers who have lost lives in different missions of conflict areas across the globe, 178 are Indians.
