Agricultural & Processed Food Products Export Development Authority (APEDA) organised an in-store export promotion programme in Dubai, UAE for Manipur’s pineapples.
The ‘in-store promotion show’ of organic and fibre-rich Kwe variety of pineapples from Manipur, was organized Dubai in association with Manipur Organic Mission Agency (MOMA) of Government of Manipur. The programme aims to harness the export potential of naturally grown, organic certified fresh pineapples of North-Eastern Region (NER).

Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) has successfully demonstrated a new technology with Inflatable Aerodynamic Decelerator (IAD).
It was designed and developed by ISRO’s Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre (VSSC). The IAD was successfully test flown in a ‘Rohini’ sounding rocket. This demonstration opens a path for cost-effective spent stage recovery technology and can also be used in ISRO’s future missions to Venus and Mars.

The James Webb Space Telescope (JWST) has captured its first-ever image of an exoplanet, or planet outside the solar system.
The telescope’s observations of the exoplanet, HIP 65426 b, were revealed, which is also called as  ‘Super-Jupiter’ as it’s a gas giant that is six to eight times more massive than Jupiter. It orbits an A-type star twice the size of the sun and around 349 light-years from Earth in the constellation Centaurus.

The first edition of ‘World Health Summit for Pride of Homoeopathy’ was held in Dubai with the theme “Diseases caused by climate change and global warming”.
The summit aimed to promote homoeopathic system of medicine, drugs, and practices. The summit was virtually addressed by Ashwini Kumar Choubey, Minister of State of Environment Forest & Climate change.

The Uttarakhand education department recently launched an e-governance portal named ‘Samarth’, to make the education system more transparent in the state.
The portal will provide all administrative and educational updates including information about entrance exams, salary, appointments from state universities and public schools.

The Competition Commission of India (CCI) has approved the USD 4.7 billion acquisition of online payment gateway provider BillDesk by Prosus-backed PayU India.
This is the largest combination ever approved by CCI in the fintech space. PayU, the payments and fin-tech business of Prosus will become a leading online payment provider globally by payment volume.

A majority 61.9 percent of Chileans voted against the proposed new constitution. It was set to replace the ruling constitution written in 1980 during the dictatorship of conservative President Augusto Pinochet.
In 2019, millions of Chileans took to the streets to march against the rising costs of living and inequalities. 36 year old Gabriel Boric was sworn in as the new President of Chile. The new proposal was claimed as feminist, ecological and progressive.

India’s external debt rose by 8.2 per cent year-on-year to USD 620.7 billion as of March 2022, as per the Union Finance Ministry’s ‘Status Report on India’s External Debt 2021-22’.
While 53.2 per cent of the debt was denominated in the US dollar, Indian rupee-denominated debt was the second largest, which was estimated at 31.2 per cent. External debt as a ratio to GDP was 19.9 per cent, while reserves to external debt ratio were 97.8 per cent.

India’s National Security Council Secretariat (NSCS) and the UK Government in collaboration with BAE Systems successfully conducted the Cyber Security Exercise for 26 Countries.
The exercise has been conducted as part of the International Counter Ransom ware Initiative- Resilience Working Group, which is being led by India under the leadership of National Cyber Security Coordinator (NCSC).
