According to the Hurun India Future Unicorn Index 2022, Bengaluru continues to be the start-up capital of India, with 46 probable Unicorns.
It is followed by Delhi NCR (25) and Mumbai (16). As per the index, India will have 122 new unicorns in the next two to four years.

The Delhi Assembly passed bills to hike salaries and allowances by over 66% of its members.
Five different bills were tabled for the hike in salaries of ministers, MLAs, chief whip, Speaker and Deputy Speaker, and Leader of Opposition in the Assembly, which were passed by the members.

Uttar Pradesh has become the first state in the country to connect One District (ODOP) mart with the Open Network for Digital Commerce (ONDC) platform.
The initiative aims to promote open networks for all aspects of exchange of goods and services over digital or electronic networks. After the on-boarding of odopmart.com, the ODOP products will be displayed on all e-commerce portals and apps that are associated with ONDC.

Home Minister Amit Shah unveiled the ‘Statue of Peace’ of Swamy Ramanujacharya at Srinagar in Jammu and Kashmir.
Ramanujacharya is regarded as a Vedic philosopher and social reformer, who travelled across India, advocating equality and social justice. Ramanujacharya is known for revived the Bhakti movement and his preachings inspired other Bhakti schools of thought.

As part of the ongoing Digital India Week 2022 celebrations, a virtual event on India Stack Knowledge Exchange was also organised.
Indiastack.global was launched by the Prime Minister, which is a single repository of all major projects on India Stack. The Indian government has decided to share with the world the many e-governance tools including Aadhaar, the DigiLocker, CoWin Platform, the Government e-Marketplace, and Ayushman Bharat Digital Health Mission.

The 10^th edition of ‘World Peace Forum’ was recently organized by Tsinghua University, in Beijing, China.
India’s Ambassador to China Pradeep Kumar Rawat participated in the forum. He participated in the ‘BRICS Cooperation: Opportunities and Challenges’.

23-year-old player Elena Rybakina became the first player from Kazakhstan to win a grand slam title. She also became the youngest Wimbledon champion since 2011.
Novak Djokovic won his fourth straight Wimbledon men’s singles title, and his 21st grand slam title overall. He is now one grand slam title behind the all-time record set by Rafael Nadal of 22.

Jharkhand has topped in the delta ranking of Syama Prasad Mookerjee Rurban Mission with composite score of 76.19 in the month of June.
The state has improved its position to eighth place in overall ranking of the mission, which was launched by the Central Government in 2016. It aims to promote local economic development, enhancing basic services and creating well planned Rurban clusters.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the Deoghar Airport, the second international airport in Jharkhand.
This new project will provide direct connectivity to the Baba Baidyanath Temple. The first flight also land on the same day at the Deoghar Airport. IndiGo’s flight from Kolkata to the city of Deoghar marked the airline’s 74th domestic and 99th overall destination.
