According to a new study, the increasing popularity of ChatGPT could result in a yearly surge of 85-134 Terawatt-hours (TWh) in global electricity consumption by artificial intelligence (AI) by 2027.
This projected AI energy demand is said to be on par with the annual electricity consumption of nations like the Netherlands, Argentina, and Sweden.

Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Tuesday inaugurated the 82-km Padma Bridge Rail Link, the country’s largest infrastructure project built under China’s Belt and Road Initiative.
The project is estimated to cost Taka 39,246.80 crore, with the Exim Bank of China providing a loan of Taka 21,036.70 crore.

India’s retail inflation, in terms of the Consumer Price Index CPI, eased to a three-month low in September, to 5.02%.
Moreover, the inflation came below RBI’s upper tolerance band of 2%-6%. RBI has clarified that it is targeting inflation of 4% and a figure of below 6% may not suffice as a condition for easing its lending rates.

South Africa defeated the five-time champion Australia by 134 runs in World Cup and handed them one of the biggest losses.
The South African team scored 311/7 after Quinton de Kock scored a century, his second of the tournament. While Australia were bowled out for 177 in 40.5 overs.

The Israeli canine unit ‘Oketz’ played a crucial role in the rescue of 200 lives and the neutralization of 10 Hamas terrorists. ‘
The Israeli canine unit ‘Oketz,’ which translates to “sting” in Hebrew, extensively trains its dogs, specializing them in various areas, including attack, search and rescue, explosive detection, and weapon location.

An artificial intelligence (AI) bot has successfully accomplished the entire process of identifying a supernova, from searching for it, detecting it, confirming its presence, classifying it, and announcing the findings, all without any human involvement.
This AI tool, known as the Bright Transient Survey Bot (BTSbot), was developed by an international team of scientists led by Northwestern University.

The Union Ministry of Ayush has announced that the ‘Ayurveda Day’, scheduled to be on November 10, 2023.
It will be observed on an international scale, with participation expected from around 100 countries worldwide. The theme for this year’s celebration is ‘Ayurveda for One Health,’ and it is set to become a global event.

In an effort to promote the employability and skillsets of Tripura’s youth, a project named “Heartland Tripura” was officially launched. This initiative is a collaborative effort involving Deloitte India and the National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology (NIELIT) in Agartala.
‘Heartland Tripura’ aims to create fresh avenues for career advancement and personal development for undergraduate students, encompassing both engineering and non-engineering disciplines.
