Zozibini Tunzi crowned Miss Universe 2019

26-year-old Miss South Africa, Zozibini Tunzi was crowned as the Miss Universe 2019 on Sunday, 8th December 2019.
In the finals, Zozibini defeated Miss Puerto Rico, Madison Anderson, who finished as the Runner-up. Miss Mexico, Sofia Aragon finished in third place.
This year marked the 68th edition of Miss Universe competition and was held at the capital of U.S state Georgia, Atlanta.
This marks the third title for South Africa, and second in the last three years (South Africa’s Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters was crowned as the Miss Universe 2017).
90 contestants competed for the Miss Universe title 2019. Miss Diva 2019, Vartika Singh represented India in the competition this year and finished in the top 20.
