YUVA – Prime Minister’s Scheme for Mentoring Young Authors
In a bid to promote budding authors and the Indian literature at the domestic and international levels, the Indian Government’s Department of Higher Education launched the YUVA – Prime Minister’s Scheme For Mentoring Young Authors. It is to benefit nascent authors below the age of 30.
The new scheme is part of India @75 Project (Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav). The focus will be on themes concerning India’s freedom struggle. The books obtained through this initiative will be published by the National Book Trust under the Ministry of Education. They will also be translated into various Indian languages to ensure wider access.
