Eight-year-old Divith Reddy from Hyderabad recently achieved a remarkable feat. He won the Under-8 World Cadets Chess Championship. His victory took place on a Tuesday, marking a proud moment for India. Divith scored 9 out of 11 points. He tied with fellow Indian Sattwik Swain. However, Divith secured the gold medal due to a superior tiebreak score. Sattwik earned the silver medal, while Ziming Guo from China claimed the bronze.
