World’s oldest marathoner to retire

image World’s oldest marathon runner, 101-year-old Fauja Singh, from Ilford, east London, has announced retirement from the sport after taking part in the after Hong Kong marathon which will be held in February 2013. Singh is fondly known as ‘Turbaned Tornado’ among his fans.

He entered the records as the world’s oldest marathon runner after his show in Toronto marathon.
