World Meteorological Day
World Meteorological Day is an international day that commemorates the establishment of the World Meteorological Organization in 1950. It is being observed on March 23rd of every year since 1961. WMO is an international organisation that was created to replace the International Meteorological Organization. It is a specialized agency of the UN and is based on World Meteorological Convention of 1947. The theme for 2021 is ‘The ocean, our climate, and weather’.
