WHO Map of India
The World Health Organization recently released a new map. The map differentiated Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh from the rest of Indian mainland with a different colour.
What is the new WHO map of India?
The new WHO map of India has marked the newly created Union Territories of India, Ladakh and Jammu and Kashmir in grey colour. Also, it has marked the disputed Aksai Chin region in grey colour with blue stripes. The blue stripes are in identical shade as that of China. The map shows India in navy blue colour.
What is India’s stand on the new map?
India is not pleased with the new map. India believes that China has a big role in the new map of WHO. The influence of China on the World Health Organization is high as the country provides huge funding to the organization.

In May 2020, Nepal released a new political map that claimed regions of Kalapani, Lipulekh and Limpiyadhura. Nepal released the map after India inaugurated a motorable link road connecting India and China. The road passes through Lipulekh pass. This region is claimed by Nepal as its own territory.
What is India-Pakistan map issue?
In August 2019, Pakistan released a map that showed the geographical areas of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh within its area. Also, the Junagadh of Gujarat was shown as its own territory. The map was released a day before Indian Government rolled back the special status of Jammu and Kashmir. Also, the it was a counter action for India’s inclusion of Pakistan occupied Kashmir as part of the Unin Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.
