Supriya Sahu, a 1991 batch IAS officer, has been appointed as the new Director General (DG) of Doordarshan for 3 years. The post was lying vacant since July 2014, after the then DG, Tripurari Sharan, completed his tenure. Earlier, she has worked as Director and Joint Secretary in Information and Broadcasting Ministry, nodal authority for the national broadcaster Doordarshan.
