The Luxembourg envoy to the United Nations (UN), Ms. Sylvie Lucas has been appointed as the next chair of the Inter-Governmental Negotiations (IGN) on United Nations Security Council (UNSC) reforms. Ms. Lucas was appointed by 70th UN General Assembly President Mr.Mogens Lykketoft and replaced Jamaican Ambassador to UN Courtenay Rattray. Luxembourg was a non-permanent member of the 15-nation Security Council for the 2013-14 term.
