The awards were

  1. Army of India Medal (1803-1826)
  2. India General Service Medal (1854-95)
  3. India Medal (1895-1902)
  4. India General Service Medal (1908-1935)
  5. India General Service Medal (1936-39)

Army of India Medal was established on 21 March 1851. However it was issued to survivors of various actions during the period 1803–1826. This period included Second Maratha War, Gurkha War , Third Maratha War and First Burmese War. India General Service Medal which established on 11 March 1854 and was issued from 1854 till 1895, the India Medal which was issued from 1895 till 1902, India General Service Medal which was issued from 1908 till 1935 and India General Service Medal which was issued from 1936 till 1939. No medal was issued after 1939.
