The Karnataka government has launched Mukhyamantri Santwana Harish Yojana for free medical treatment to accident victims. As per the scheme, the accident victims will be given free medical treatment for the first 48 hours at any hospital and financial aid upto Rs. 25,000 will also be provided. The scheme has been named after Harish Nanjappa who had donated his eyes moments before his death.
