Which state government of India has recently launched ‘Smart Village’ program to improve public facilities in the villages?

The Gujarat Government has recently launched a novel initiative “Smart Village” program to improve public facilities in the villages. Under the program, 300 villages will be selected and will get Rs. 80 lakh to Rs. 2 crore cash assistance from the state government. The smart village is one of the platform that brings the state and church together to make thedifference in the lives of poor tribal people in unreached villages. It is building up of a complete village, self-reliant by mobilizing renewable energy and complete participation of people in all development towards a smart village or a model village among Indian villages.
