The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) has launched “DND (do not disturb) services” mobile app for telecom subscribers to register their complaints against pesky calls and SMS in an easy way. Apart from registering for ‘do-not-disturb’ service and filing complaints on the app, users will also be able to view the status of their lodged complaints. The complaint will be delivered to the telecom operator as well. As per rule, TRAI has mandated all telecom operators to disconnect telephone numbers from which a pesky call or SMS has originated on receipt of the first complaint.
