The Kannada film “Thithi” has won the best film and best script writers award at the Asia New Talent Awards in the 19th edition of Shanghai International Film Festival 2016. It is the only film from India that has been selected and screened in the festival. The movie is a dramatic comedy about how three generations of sons react to the death of the oldest in their clan. The movie is directed by debutante filmmaker Raam Reddy. Beside this, the movie has recently won the 2016 National Award for Best Feature film in Kannada.
