The high-level committee headed by Chief Economic Advisor Arvind Subramanian, which was formed to tackle the shortage of pulses, has recently submitted its report to Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley. The committee was formed to consider a reasonable hike in the Minimum Support Price (MSP) for pulses and bonus for the farmers to promote puslse cultivation.
