The Indian Army cycling event 2016 has been flagged off recently from Pangsau Pass on the India-Myanmar border with the theme “Cycle to Recycle” on March 8, 2016. It was organised as part of the Assam Rifles 181st raising day celebrations. The purpose of this cycling event is to create public awareness about the need of nature and environment conservation. The event will culminate on March 16, 2016 in Shillong, Meghalaya.
