The President of India Pranab Mukherjee has inaugurated the first National conference of Women legislators titled “The Role of Women Legislators in Nation Building (Mahila Janpratinidhi – Sashakt Bharat Ki Nirmata)” in New Delhi. The theme is “Building Resurgent India”. The Speaker of Bangladesh Dr. Shirin Chaudhary was the chairperson of the plenary session. The basic purpose of the conference is to tell women legislators how can they contribute in nation-building.
