What is the meaning of Clickjacking?
The phenomenon of the hijacking of clicks of a user on a website and thereby translating the user click on malicious content which often leads to leaking of confidential information is known as clickjacking. It can happen on any browser or any platform as it depends on the vulnerability of the user interface of the websites. It generally involves the links or buttons which seem authentic and attractive to the user and latter is moved to click on them. These buttons usually have hidden links or functionality. The links are created based on perceptions of user internet behaviour. Clickjacking thus exploits the user in the following ways:
- Lands users on expected websites to initiate the subscription.
- Makes users follow some Twitter account without their consent.
- Makes users like Facebook pages.
- Private information is given out to the public
