India is ranked 80th out of 104 countries in the Global Hunger Index 2015. This report’s GHI scores are based on a new, improved formula that reflects the multidimensional nature of hunger by combining four indicators related to undernourishment, wasting, stunting, and child mortality. The Global Hunger Index (GHI) was first released by the International Food Policy Research Institute and Welthungerhilfe in 2006.
