What is the duty of hospital authorities when they admit a patient?

When a patient is admitted in a hospital for treatment, it becomes the duty of the hospital authorities to treat him with reasonable care. If the nurses and surgeon do not treat him with proper care and skill, the hospital authorities must answer it, for it means that they themselves did not perform their duties to him.
