What is the difference between a Hinny and a Mule?

A hinny is a equine hybrid that is the offspring of a male horse and a female donkey. It is also known as Jenny or Jennet. A mule is the offspring of a male donkey and a female horse. Mules and Hinnies have 63 chromosomes, a mixture of the horse’s 64 and the donkey’s 62. This gives them an incomplete reproductive system and that is why they are infertile.
