What is Taxidermy?

Taxidermy is the art of preserving, stuffing and mounting dead animals in lifelike forms. The dead animals are reproducing by this art for display and as sources of study. The animals like mammals, birds, reptiles, amphibians, etc.are used in taxidermy. The animal is first skinned and the leather is treated with chemicals. The skin is tanned and placed on polyurethane form. Taxidermy is practiced professionally or even as amateurs. For museums or as a business supplying to hunters and fishermen. It’s a complex art which requires the taxidermist to be familiar with.
