What is Estimated Cost of Chandrayan-II?
After success of Chandrayan-I ISRO has proposed another lunar mission, which is called Chandrayan-II. This is proposed to be launched in 2013. It will be launched by a GSLV (Geosynchronous Satellite Launch Vehicle). This will include a lunar orbiter made in India as well as one lander and one rover built by Russia. The same team is working on this mission which was behind the success of Chandrayan-I. The team is headed by Dr. Mylswamy Annadurai.
The estimated cost of this project is Rs. 425 Crore (US $ 90 million).
