Buffett had been a big contributor to the Gates Foundation. He is an American business magnate, investor, and philanthropist. He currently holds the position of chairman and CEO of Berkshire Hathaway. He is one of the most successful investors in worldwide with a net worth of over $100.6 billion. He is the world’s seventh-wealthiest person. He created Buffett Partnership Ltd in 1956.
Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation (BMGF)
BMGF is a merging of William H. Gates Foundation and Gates Learning Foundation. It is an American private foundation which was founded by Bill and Melinda Gates. It was launched in 2000. Foundation is reported to be second largest charitable foundation across the world as of 2020. It holds about $49.8 billion in assets. Primary goals of foundation are to enhance healthcare & reduce extreme poverty worldwide and to expand educational opportunities & access to information technology. Key individuals of foundation are Bill Gates, Melinda Gates, Warren Buffett (who resigned now), Chief Executive Officer Mark Suzman and Michael Larson.
