Virat Kohli became the first Indian captain to score three double centuries in Tests

Virat Kohli became the first Indian captain to score three double hundreds. He achieved this feat while playing against England on the fourth day of the fourth Test at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. He has scored three double centuries as Captain in the same year. With this feat, he became the first Indian and the fifth batsman overall to score three double tons in the same calendar year. He has crossed the 50-mark batting average and scored 235 which is also the highest by an Indian Skipper. Previously, Tiger Pataudi, Sunil Gavaskar, Sachin Tendulkar and MS Dhoni have scored a double ton as India captains.
