Viksit Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue

The Government of India has initiated a new platform for youth engagement. The “Viksit Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue” will replace the National Youth Festival in 2025, which aligns with the Prime Minister’s vision for increased youth participation in national development.

Goals of the Dialogue

The primary aim is to discover and nurture young talent, which will provide a direct platform for youth to present their ideas to the Prime Minister. The initiative encourages political engagement among young individuals. The goal is to involve one lakh youth with no political background.

Viksit Bharat Challenge Overview

The Viksit Bharat Challenge is a four-stage competition, which invites young people to participate and contribute ideas. The challenge consists of a quiz, writing submissions, state presentations, and a national championship.

Round 1 – Viksit Bharat Quiz

The first round features a digital quiz, which is open to individuals aged 15-29. The quiz runs from 25th November to 5th December 2024. Participants will answer questions about India’s achievements.

Round 2 – Essay/Blog Writing

Winners of the quiz will advance to the second round. They will submit essays on themes like “Tech for Viksit Bharat.” The focus will be on empowering youth for national development.

Round 3 – State-Level Presentations

Top essay writers will present at the state level. State competitions will identify finalists for the national stage. This round aims to highlight innovative ideas from various regions.

Round 4 – National Championship

The final round occurs at Bharat Mandapam. Scheduled for 11-12 January 2025, state winners will compete here. They will present their ideas to Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Festival Highlights

The festival will gather around 3,000 youth participants. This includes challenge winners, state festival participants, and youth icons. Key features include the Viksit Bharat Exhibition, plenary sessions, and cultural performances. These elements will celebrate India’s heritage while focusing on youth development.
