Ustad Bismillah Khan Yuva Puraskar 2024

The Ustad Bismillah Khan Yuva Puraskar will be awarded to young artists, and take place on November 22, 2024, which will be held at Dr Ambedkar International Centre in New Delhi. Union Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat will present the awards. The event starts at 11 A.M. Dr Sandhya Purecha will lead the ceremony. She is the Chairman of the Sangeet Natak Akademi. Smt. Uma Nanduri will also attend as Joint Secretary of the Ministry of Culture.

The Ustad Bismillah Khan Yuva Puraskar was established in 2006. It honours the legendary Ustad Bismillah Khan. The award is given annually to artists under 40 years old. Eligible fields include music, dance, drama, folk and tribal arts, and puppetry. Each awardee receives a cash prize of ₹25,000. They also receive a plaque and an angavastram.
