USA nominates Manisha Singh as its Envoy to OECD
The US President has nominated Indian American diplomat, Manisha Singh, as USA’s next envoy to Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development.

OECD or Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development is an intergovernmental economic organisation established in 1961. It is headquartered in Paris, France. It is a UN observer. Its members are committed to democracy and market economy.

The OECD has 37 member states. Most of these states are high income economies and are considered as developed countries. The members collectively represent more than 60% of global nominal GDP. Some of its member countries include USA, France, Canada, Japan, South Korea, etc.

The US President nominated Manisha Singh- a senior Indian American diplomat as the next envoy of US to the OECD platform. She is currently the Assistant Secretary of State for Economic and Business Affairs at the State Department. She had previously served as the Acting Under Secretary of Economic Growth, Energy and Environment.
