US bars Foreign Students taking Online Courses from Entry to the Country

The US President has announced new guidelines that are going to block any new student planning to take admission in the online-only study from entering the United States. The Immigration and Customs Enforcement has clarified that non-immigrant students in new or initial status after March 9 will not be able to enter the country in a US school as a non-immigrant student for the fall term to pursue a full course of study that is completely online.

The designated schools will also not issue the required forms to the non-immigrant students in the new or initial status who are outside the US and plan to take classes at a Student and Exchange Visitor Program-certified educational institution fully online.

These guidelines have been issued after the previous guidelines literally sent thousands of students home from graduate schools to even grade schools in the country. 17 states and the District of Columbia filed a lawsuit against that rule fearing a reduction in the international students in most of the prestigious universities in the country.
