US Approves Helicopter Sale to India

On December 2, 2024, the Biden administration informed Congress about military sale to India, valued at approximately $1.17 billion. It aims to enhance India’s defence capabilities and the focus is on improving anti-submarine warfare.

Details of the Sale

India will acquire MH-60R Multi-Mission Helicopter Equipment, which includes 30 Multifunctional Information Distribution System-Joint Tactical Radio Systems (MIDS-JTRS).
