UPSC Recruitment 2018 for Translator, Legal Officer and Other Posts

Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has invited applications for the post of Translator(Tibetan), Legal Officer and other posts. The total number of posts is 16 and the break-up of vacancies is given below. Eligible and interested candidates should apply by the last date 29th March 2018. The applications have to be made online on the official website of UPSC. The maximum age limit for these posts is given below. The candidates will be initially appointed on probation as per the rules. All the other relevant information is available in the official notification.

Age Limit:

Translator (Burmese): Maximum age is 35 years
Translator (Dari/Persian): Maximum age is 40 years
Legal Officer (Grade-II): Maximum age is 40 years
Public Prosecutor: Maximum age is 35 years
Stores Officer: Maximum age is 30 years
Senior Lecturer (Textile Processing): Maximum age is 35 years

Educational Qualifications

Translator: (a) Bachelor’s degree in the Foreign Language concerned with English as a compulsory or elective subject at degree level OR Bachelor’s degree with English as a compulsory or elective subject from a recognized University and (b) Diploma in foreign language concerned with interpreter-ship or translation
Legal Officer: Master’s degree in Law with specialization in the field of International Law and/or International Relations or International Organizations
Public Prosecutor: Degree in Law of a recognized University and having basic knowledge of word processing on
computer and internet.
Stores Officer:Degree in Engineering from a recognised University or Institute. OR Degree in Science with two years experience in Materials Management
Senior Lecturer (Textile Processing): Degree in Textile Processing or Textile Chemistry or Bachelor of Engineering OR Bachelor of Technology in Textile Processing or Textile Chemistry OR Post Diploma in Textile Chemistry or Textile Processing
