UP to Set up District-level Panels to fight COVID 19

The Uttar Pradesh government has decided to set up district-level panels consisting of district magistrates, chief medical officers and chief development officers to prepare a working plan in order to fight the COVID 19 pandemic more effectively.

The government has decided to strengthen the telemedicine facility and also its proper publicity so that more people can avail themselves of the facility in the state and that also from the comfort of their own homes. In every district, there will be an integrated command and control centre in order to carry out different coordination activities pertaining to COVID 19 disease and its monitoring in the state.

All the district level officials have been included in this committee so that the coordination work does not suffer at the district level. The committee will also focus on the use of technology in the respective districts in order to communicate with people more effectively regarding the issues faced by the COVID 19 pandemic.
