Unique Identification Number (UIN) for Drones and Drones Operators

For making identification easier for civil drones and drone operators, the Ministry of Civil Aviation is giving a one-time opportunity to civil drones and drone operators for voluntary disclosure.

From 14th January 2020, drones and drone operators are required to submit the information to the government by visiting the site of Digital Sky portal and need to obtain Unique Identification Number (UIN), Unmanned Aircraft Operator Permit (UAOP) and other requirements issued by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA).

A Drone Acknowledgement Number (DAN) and an Ownership Acknowledgement Number (OAN) will be issued online after completing submission process of voluntary disclosure of possessing drone that will assist in validation of operations of drones in India and without a valid DAN and OAN, the ownership of drone in India shall invite extremely severe action as per applicable laws.

31st January 2020 is the last date for submitting the necessary information to the government and any queries or additional information in this regard will be entertained in the Digital Sky Help Desk.
