UN Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of the Crime of Genocide
The UN Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of the Crime of Genocide was adopted unanimously by the UN General Assembly on 9th December 1948. This convention is being enforced since 12th January 1951. It calls on all the participating countries to prevent and punish actions of genocide during the times of war and peace. A new report revealed that China (a signatory) violated every provision of this convention in Xinjiang province.
