The retired US General Norman Schwarzkopf who led the U.S. Forces for a victory in the first Gulf War in Operation Desert Strom in 1991 died.
Operation Desert Storm
Operation Desert Storm is the codename of the Gulf War fought in 1991 by a U.N.-authorized Coalition force from 34 nations led by the United States, against Iraq during the regime of President Saddam Hussein in response to Iraq’s invasion and annexation of Kuwait. The Coalition forces drove out the forces of Iraq from the country and gained the victory in the war.
