U.P MoU with Deloitte India
On August 5, 2022, Uttar Pradesh Government inked a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Deloitte India, to appoint it as a consultant in a bid to achieving the target of bringing UP’s economy to USD 1 trillion. Decision to appoint Deloitte India as a consultant was taken on July 19, 2022, on the recommendation of a high-powered committee.
Highlights:
- On the occasion, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath mentioned that, time has come for Uttar Pradesh to take full advantage of its potential. It is going to become an important base for multidimensional development of India.
- By 2027, state is going to become a benchmark of “sabka saath, sabka vikas” policy, with 1 trillion-dollar economy.
- Deloitte will present a future action plan with thorough deliberation, within next 90 days. Plan will be made after conducting a sector-wise study.
- Action plan will be also be examined by a high-level committee headed by chief secretary.
- Group of Ministers would also review the action plan.
