Turkey rejects US pressure over S400 deal with Russia

Turkey is purchasing S400 missile system from Russia. The first delivery is expected in July. US blames that by this action Turkey has riled its NATO allies. US has warned Turkey that it could face sanctions and a block on the F35 fighter jet program. F35 is a single seat single engine all wether fighter jet. US is repeatedly pressurising to fall out of the deal and buy US made Patriot missile defence systems.

The 2 countries, US and Turkey also have growing rifts over Syria.
