Tropical Depression Grace over Haiti

Tropical depression grace over the earthquake hit southwest Haiti on August 17, 2021. It caused torrential rains and high winds ending into flooding in one area.

Where is Haiti?

Haiti is a country on the island of Hispaniola located in Greater Antilles archipelago of the Caribbean Sea. It is located to the east of Cuba & Jamaica and south of The Bahamas, Turks & Caicos Islands. It accounts for western three-eighths of the island and shares it with the Dominican Republic. History

The nation was originally inhabited by indigenous Taíno people. They originated in South America. First Europeans arrived in 1492 during the first voyage of Christopher Columbus. Columbus founded the first European settlement in the Americas, La Navidad which is now called as northeastern coast of Haiti.
