PMMVY AWARDS

  • Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana (PMMVY) awards presented by WCD Minister Smriti Irani
  • In the category of best performance since inception of the Scheme to States/ UTs having population of more than 1 crore Madhya Pradesh was first. For States/ UTs having population of less than 1 crore, Dadra & Nagar Haveli was first.
  • Indore (MP) was first in district level award for States/UTs with population of more than 1 crore. Mizoram (Serchhip) was first in district level award for States/UTs with population of less than 1 crore.
  • Under PMMVY (started in 2017), Rs 5000 is paid to pregnant women and lactating mothers for the first living child of the family as compensation for wage-loss during childbirth and childcare.
