Three-finger salute

Three-finger salute is being displayed by the pro-democracy protestors opposing coup in Myanmar. It is adopted from the Hunger Games books written by Suzanne Collins. Signifying resistance, it became an anti-coup symbol in Southeast Asia for the first time in 2014 after youth used it to oppose military takeover in Thailand. It was also seen in the 2014 Umbrella Revolution in Hong Kong.
