The first-ever World Sufi Forum (WSF) has been inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi at Vigyan Bhavan, New Delhi on March 17, 2016. The 4-day event is focused on finding constructive ways to spread the Islamic message of peace and tolerance as a counter to rising global violent extremism. It is organized by All India Ulama and Mashaikh Board (AIUMB), the apex body of Sufi Dargahs in India.
