Telangana T-Hub 2.0
Chief Minister of Telangana K Chandrasekhar Rao is scheduled to inaugurate the new facility of business incubator T-Hub on June 28, in Hyderabad.
About T-Hub
- The T-Hub (Technology Hub) was established in 2015, at IIT Hyderabad.
- It is an innovation hub and ecosystem enabler based in Hyderabad.
- This hub was set up in “public private partnership” mode between state government and three academic institutes namely;
- International Institute of Information Technology-Hyderabad (IIIT-H)
- Indian School of Business (ISB), and
- National Academy of Legal Studies and Research (NALSAR) University of Law.
- The hub is housed in 70,000 square feet space, called as Catalyst within the campus.
- It rents out meeting space and office besides offering services to start-up companies like connections with mentors and investors.
About T-Hub 2.0
The T-Hub 2.0 has been set up at Raidurg in Hitec City. It has been constructed with total built-up area of more than 5.82 lakh square feet. It is thus the largest innovation campus worldwide. Second largest innovation campus is “start-up incubator Station F” in France. T-Hub 2.0 will act as a microcosm of innovation ecosystem. It will house over 2,000 start-ups, corporates, academia, investors, and national & international ecosystem enablers. Telangana government has invested over Rs 276 crore on the facility. It will offer various programmes for start-ups as well as forged associations with various companies and likeminded organisations worldwide.
Background
Building for T-Hub 2.0 was originally scheduled to be ready in 2019. But work got delayed due to several factors, including the COVID-19 pandemic.
