Tanushree Pareek becomes first woman field officer of BSF

Tanushree Pareek from Rajasthan became the first woman field officer in the Border Security Force (BSF). She was inducted into the BSF after a convocation ceremony held at the BSF academy at Tekanpur in Gwalior district of Madhya Pradesh. BSF is country’s largest border guarding force.  It is tasked to guard two of the India’s most sensitive frontiers (border) with Pakistan and Bangladesh. It is also deployed for conducting anti-Naxal operations and other duties in the internal security domain.
