Study in India Meet 2022
On 4th March 2022, the two-day Study in India (SII) 2022 meet was inaugurated in Dhaka by Vikram Doraiswami, India’s High Commissioner to Bangladesh, and Dipu Moni, Bangladesh’s Education Minister. This event has been organized by the High Commission of India.
Overview:
- The Education Minister of Bangladesh pointed out the importance of educational exchange between both the nations to strengthen friendly relations between them.
- The Study in India programme also provides an opportunity for the two countries’ future generations to engage in mutually beneficial and profitable enterprises.
- Many students from various educational institutions took part in this event. Opportunities were explored by the students for studying overseas at some of India’s premier institutions and universities. India’s 19 educational institutions are taking part in the Education Fair organized in Dhaka.
- On 7th March, for the benefit of Bangladeshi students, the Study in India meet will be organized in Chittagong.
About Study in India Programme
The Ministry of Education’s flagship project, Study in India, was launched in 2018. The aim of this programme is to encourage international students to pursue higher education in India. This programme helps in facilitating the student fraternity from across the world to come to India and experience the best of academic learning from the top institutions of the nation. Study In India has attracted students from over 150 countries across SAARC, Southeast Asia, Africa, the Middle East, and Central Asia since its inception.
